Policies & Safeguarding

Policies & safeguarding
We want people who contact Freedom, use our resources or support our work to know what they can expect from us. Our public policies are available here to read at any time.
Safeguarding policy
How we respond to concerns involving children and adults at risk, including forced marriage, FGM, domestic abuse and safe reporting.
Equity, diversity and inclusion
Fair treatment, accessible information, survivor involvement and listening to the people affected by our work.
Our governance and operational policies
Read Freedom’s 27 policies covering trustee responsibilities, financial controls, fundraising, confidentiality, safeguarding governance, publishing, research and more.
Complaints and feedback
How to raise a concern about Freedom and how complaints are considered.
Privacy and cookies
How personal information is handled.
Accessibility
How we are making the website and information easier to use, and how to tell us if something is difficult to access.
Some operational documents contain sensitive personal or safeguarding information and are kept securely rather than published. That does not prevent anyone from reporting a safeguarding concern to an appropriate authority.
If someone is in immediate danger in the UK, call 999. For specialist information and routes to help, visit Freedom’s helpline page.
